In 2010, Andrea Hild, while studying painting in Berlin, started selling hand-illustrated postcards and calendars online.
From her bed box storage, the nuukk company grew rapidly, moved to a studio in Kreuzberg and entered into partnerships with local shops and a Berlin workshop for people with disabilities.
Andrea's passion project developed into a full-time job, supported by a small team and many talented illustrators. Together, they design nuukk collections that captivate with their diversity, colourfulness and creativity.
nuukk focuses on home décor and stationery, steering clear of gender marketing and fleeting trends, with the aim of appealing to the whole family.
It is also particularly important to Andrea not to produce boring mass-market goods, but rather products that are made with passion and responsibility: true to the nuukk motto ‘Cute stuff. Cool standards.’
